Can you believe 2017 is about to end? I feel like I just finished wrapping last year’s Christmas presents and now I’m at it again. Well, that’s a bit of an exaggeration. I have to buy the bloody presents first.
One of my fave times of every year is the look back at all the cracker things that happened. The things that go down in history, and the things that change the world.
Here are our top 10 fave moments of 2017...
Meghan and Harry getting engaged – Do I really need to elaborate? As sad as I may sound, this made my heart SINGGGGG! I love Prince Harry so much that although I know these two could bring the Palace down with a shit show…I’m into it. She’s ace, he’s ace and POW…we have another Royal wedding on the horizon.

Beyonce Twins announcement – Shit…the Queen really nailed her pregnancy announcement and THEN she nailed her twin arrival pic too. That woman can do no wrong, she could hold dog shit in her hands and we would be into it, but when it’s twins the world went bonkers!

The Sinner – The Netflix series that needs to be seen by every human on the planet. Jessica Biel made an epic comeback from her days on 7th Heaven and totally owned it. This show is all forms of fabulous. Get on to it stat if you haven’t already.

Gay marriage legalised - One of the best days of my life, hands down. The entire lead up to that moment was heartbreaking, scary and incredible all rolled into one. We hated the process but LOVED the outcome. I’ve never loved our nation more than the day the postal vote went through. Love always wins.

Women’s march in the USA becomes the largest one day protest in US history. It was estimated that 4 million people marched for women’s rights after the Donald Trump’s inaugeration. The sheer volume of the people who marched in protest of Trump being the new president set the tone for an entire year of record breaking moments in feminist history.

Adele’s Grammy speech to Beyonce – Oh sweet jesus. If you didn’t love Adele before, you sure will after this speech. She dedicated her award to Beyonce saying:”But I can’t possibly accept this award, and I’m very humble and very grateful and gracious, but the artist of my life is Beyonce and this album to me, the Lemonade album is so monumental, Beyoncé. So monumental,” Adele said, as Beyoncé watched tearfully. Adele added that the way Beyoncé makes “her black friends feel is empowering.”

Viola Davis became the first black women to win the triple crown of acting for best supporting actress in Fences. She won an Emmy, a Tony and an Oscar. Her speech was just incredible. Have a goosey.

Big Little Lies – Yep, another TV show. 2017 felt like an awakening of TV series. And this one had the world captivated. Get your eyeballs on it now if you haven’t seen it – just so you’re ready for season 2. The cast is beyond awesome and the story line, albeit a tad insane, was totally perfect.

#MeToo movement – The Me Too movement was started 10 years ago but brought back to life in light of the Harvey Weinstein mess. Alyssa Milano tweeted out a message encouraging other women who had been sexually assaulted to post ‘Me Too’ as a status update. Within 24 hours the world had noticed.

The first baby is born via a uterus transplant – For the first time in the U.S., a woman who’d previously had a uterus transplant successfully gave birth to a healthy baby. She gave birth at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, a hospital that had an ongoing uterus transplant clinical trial. “We’ve been preparing for this moment for a very long time,” Dr. Liza Johannesson, an OB/GYN and uterus transplant surgeon told TIME. “I think everyone had tears in their eyes when the baby came out. I did for sure.”
