This piece is brought to you by Disney•Pixar’s Coco but is 100% my thoughts and feelings.
There is one movie these school holidays that you’ve gotta wrap your eyes and ears around. If you’re a big human with little humans, get along to the flicks and watch Disney•Pixar’s Coco. This movie is made by the same peeps behind Finding Nemo, Toy Story, Cars, Inside Out and a ton of the other best animated kids movies.
Disney•Pixar’s Coco is about a little 12-year -old lad called Miguel who loves music and despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music, Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in a stunning and colourful land following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector, and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.
Stacey’s boys got a sneak peak of this movie and at one point Stace looked across at her son Raff, and he had the biggest smile on his face. It’s a beautiful movie about the celebration of family and love. The part we dig the most is the fact that it highlights the importance of spending time with your loved ones….because we are already dreading the day when our kids think we are super uncool and don’t want to hang with us anymore. The movie shares an awesome magical message and one that the whole fam will be invested in.
I’m looking really forward to taking my boys to see it. They loooove going to the movies, cause let’s be honest, they know they will devour a bucket of popcorn bigger than their bodies, but also Disney flicks have never disappointed them.
Stace and I went along to the Coco Family Festival the other day and because we were working we didn’t take our own families, but we were blown away by how many families came along. They really embodied what the movie is all about…family. It was a day jam packed full of Coco related fun activities, taco eating, mariachi bands, dancers, and families having FUN together. It was pretty magical, just like this movie.
Here are some super cute pics from the day…
Check out the fun from the Coco Family Festival below and don’t forget to take the fam to see Coco, in cinemas Boxing Day!
