I was a huge fan of the recent HBO series Big Little Lies.
They had me at Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern TOGETHER in a TV SHOW!! On top of that, I’m a massive fan of author Liane Moriarty and the series is based on her book by the same name, so how could it be anything but fab?
The show didn’t disappoint. It was full of mystery, scandal, and drama. It also tells a very important story of domestic abuse. Nicole Kidman stepped up and blew us away with her portrayal of Celeste, the stunning mother of two who appears to have it all from the outside, but under the surface she’s suffering in a volatile and abusive relationship.
There’s been a lot of speculation over whether or not there will be a second season of Big Little Lies, many believing there’s nowhere for the show to go from here. But it seems that may not be the case – yippee! Reese appeared on Ellen overnight and spilled the beans on the rumours of a second series.
This is what she had to say: “We hope so! Nicole [Kidman] and I produced it, as well, so we’ve been talking to the writer, Lianne Moriarty, who wrote the book about, just new ideas and what these characters could do. It seems like people just love the characters, so hopefully we could go on!” Reese said.
