This piece is brought to you by RelaxMax but is totally my own story and opinions.

What an unpleasant mole of a thing stress is. None of us are exempt from the six letter word that can go from non-existent to all-consuming quicker than a nit let lose in a classroom.

There’s not a huge amount of things I am good at but I could win a gold medal if stressing were a sport. Seriously, sometimes I feel like a nut job with the ridic little things I stress over, like needing to return an email quickly, to the fact my son didn’t consume anything but a muesli bar all day. I am programmed to stress.

There are a few things I do to avoid the longggg list above, like meditating, I have an app I try to listen to daily for 15-20 minutes to help slow my mind and it also helps to give my body and mind a rest when I’m exhausted from all the effort I put into stressing. I also make exercise a part of my weekly routine. I ain’t one of those people who pound the pavement for miles on end, a fast walk and some Pilates does the trick for me, it really helps to keep my mind in the ‘less stressed’.

A mate of mine who is a fellow world class stresser and also a mate who is only a mild stress head are both sipping on a drink that both of them swear by. This liquid goodness seems to have some pretty awesome benefits.

If you have been to Fiji or Vanuatu you have probably heard of a natural stress reliever called Kava. Islanders make this baby by mixing powdered roots of the Piper methysticum plant with some water. The Kava has a mild sedative effect and many medical pros but it’s a brown muddy murky liquid that don’t taste that pleasant.

My mates haven’t been flying to the Pacific Islands to throw back Kava, but they have started sipping on RelaxMax, which is far from brown murkiness, it actually tastes like sweet berries. This berry flavoured Kava comes in a little sachet so you can have them in your bag and pop it in some water or milk whenever your lil heart desires.

reRelaxMax has the benefits of helping you relax but not in the drowsy I wanna close my eyes kind of way, just more a calming feeling. So as well as calming you it helps fight that sleepy feeling that can drag you down. It can also help assist with mild anxiety and reduce stress -which is why I am a convert.

The less I stress, the better my overall health is so I have jumped on board and have a glass of this in cold water every morning and occasionally at night as well. You can have it whenever you like though, and apparently it can help boost the female libido. I’m in my early days of sipping Kava but I’ll keep you posted… if you desire.
