When I was pregnant with my first child I looked like crap for months. The vomiting and lack of sleep from nausea made me feel like I had gone ten rounds in a boxing ring before I even lifted my head from the pillow. I swore that I would never have another baby, but just like labour, in time I forgot how horrific it was and went back for a second babe…only to find myself in morning sickness hell again.
When news broke this week that Kate Middleton was pregnant with baby number three, we were pretty excited at Show + Tell. We love a bit of royal baby news but couldn’t help feeling for Kate who is suffering again from severe morning sickness known as hyperemesis gravidarum (HG). Morning Sickness is the WORST but HG is next level.
Most pregnant women experience some form of morning sickness, but only 0.3-1.5 per cent experience hyperemesis gravidarum. Like regular morning sickness, HG sufferers experience nausea and vomiting but to such an extreme level that they are often hospitalised and put on IV drips to combat weight loss and dehydration.
This extreme dehydration played havoc on Kate’s skin when pregnant in 2015 with Princess Charlotte and it was a $26 Aussie product that helped her skin look fab even when she was probably feeling anything but. Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil flew off the shelves after Kate’s royal endorsement. The oil is full of fatty acids that works miracles on restoring dehydrated skin, reducing redness and BONUS, fading stretch marks.
A bottle of the Trilogy Rosehip Oil sells every 20 seconds, which adds up to 30,240 bottles in a week! It regularly sells out but is currently available so get onto it immediately. Emma Stone and Miranda Kerr are also said to be major fans of the brand.
Now where’s my credit card? I need this stuff STAT.
