Yes, indoor plants are a FANTASTIC idea and here are some of my favourite ideas:
Pop & Scott Pots are made from fibreglass and hand painted by the talented Poppy.  These wonderful pots are light weight and suitable for indoor or outdoor but where ever you use them they will bring instant joy to your home.

Mister Moss Hanging Plants are available in a large variety of herb, flower, citrus or plant and come in different string colours.  These little guys look great hanging from the roof and are easy to care for.

Uashmama paper bags look fantastic with plants or herbs in them.  Try a Fern in the large gold bag in your bedroom or a chilli plant in the medium grey bag in the kitchen!

Or you could even pot a succulent in this little By Joost Pot and pop it on a side table.

It is important to remember that you should use indoor plants as another object or styling item that adds depth and character to your room.  All houses should have a touch of green they really do finish off a space…take these images as an example.
