February 2017 will mark FOUR years since our site was born. Like most births, it has been both REALLY hard and REALLY rewarding work. And just like the birthing process itself, there have been moments of pure exhaustion and massive peaks of elation and joy.  Above all, there has been enormous pride in what we’ve created – a space that ultimately celebrates women. ALL women. To say that it has been fulfilling would be a massive understatement.

Over the years we’ve celebrated friendship, body love, women’s health, gorgeous homes and fashions, delicious food, beauty, and the often complicated topics of romantic relationships, marriage, sex and motherhood. More than anything, we’ve rejoiced in a woman’s right to choose what is best for her and her own life and this remains something we are super duper passionate about.

Of all those topics we’ve brought you over the years, nothing has captivated us (and you guys) as much as childbirth. It is, without a doubt, the most spectacular thing the human body – and only the female human body – can do. So, when we found these mind-blowing pics on The Huffington Post, we knew you’d love them as much as we did.

The following images, the most beautiful of 2016, can be found on the extraordinary Birth Becomes Her and Canadian Birth Photographers websites. Head on over to their sites for even more stunning snaps. Enjoy!
