The Sinner is back… and darker than ever

It’s pretty rare that my husband and I can agree on something to watch, so most nights at our joint will see him watching Seinfeld re-runs and annoyingly flipping through channels while I sit on my laptop with my headphones on watching Netflix. #notcouplegoals.

There was, however, a rare occasion last year where we both agreed on the Netflix series, The Sinner, which we were both busting to watch every night until we’d inhaled the whole thing. Season One, which starred Jessica Biel as a woman who lost the plot on a beach one day and stabbed a guy to death in plain view of everyone, including her small son, was THE BEST.

When I read that Season Two had been announced, I was a little confused because Season One had been wrapped up so tightly with all questions answered and the mystery solved. Where could it possibly go? Well, Netflix have just released the trailer for Season Two, which doesn’t star Jess (she serves as Executive Producer on this one) but looks just as insanely good as the first one.

Just like in Season One, we know WHO is responsible for the murder, but not the WHY – and this one actually feels a little darker than the first. An 11-year-old boy has killed both of his parents and good ol’ Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman’s character from the first series) is back to investigate. Have a squiz at this trailer…

Season Two of The Sinner drops on Netflix on November 9. If you can’t wait ’til then, you can watch it on iTunes, which is what Monty did and she says that this one is unmissable and just as addictive as the first.
