How annoying is it when you hear of a beauty brand that everyone is raving about, only to find out that it’s only available overseas? Unless you use one of those package-forwarding services to have it shipped here or, you know, plan a holiday around your dream make up purchases, us Aussies have missed out on some big name brands.
Drew Barrymore’s Flower Beauty range is one of those brands I’ve been hanging to try for yonks now. Drew launched Flower Beauty back in 2013 and since then, the line has grown massively thanks to its (reportedly) great quality, solid range of products (including lots of neutrals AND poppin’ colours) and super affordable price point. Flower was Drew’s way of making luxe cosmetics accessible to everyone who wants them, with the company walking the talk of their tagline, ‘Beauty Is For Everybody’ – so no more skimping on a week’s worth of lunches to shell out for an exxy lippie.
So, on to the bloody AWESOME news…. Flower Beauty is launching on our Aussie shores next month! Yep, in January 2019 we can all get our own little hit of Barrymore-goodness in over 300 Chemist Warehouse stores across the country. While it isn’t yet known whether the entire range will be available (which covers face, lips, eyes, brushes and even sheet masks), it has been reported that it’s likely around 100 products will be up for grabs. And the best bit? The prices will range from just $3.99 – $13.99. Crazy!
Here are the products we’ve got our eyes on…
Light Illusion Foundation
Claiming to give a “weightless, nude skin feel” with gorgeous luminosity and medium, buildable coverage, this is one of the cult products customers in the US adore from Flower. Plus, check out that awesome shade range!
Blush Bomb Colour Drops
Easy to blend (no brush required!) gel-cream blush to give those cheeks a pop of gorgeous colour. Swipe a little for a hint of flush or go as nutso as your heart desires. PERFECT for summer.
Shimmer and Strobe Highlighting Palette
With an average of five stars, this baby promises a gorgeous glow without those chunky glitter particles we hate. Winner Winner Glistening Chicken Dinner.
Shimmer and Shade Eyeshadow Palettes
The no-brainer for your eyes. With four different colour selections available, reviews use all those words we want from an eyeshadow like “pigmented”, “creamy” and “buttery soft.” Sold.
Petal Pout Lip Colour
Available in 24 shades from nudes all the way through to reds and vampy purples, this lippie has been compared to Tom Ford’s iconic lipsticks which are priced between $50 – $70. We’ll take one of each, thanks.
