It’s Make-It-Monday! Get crafty…with tin cans!

Every Monday I am going to show and tell a little DIY project for you. You will have the week to get your supplies and then you will be all ready to get your craft on when it’s time for the weekend! Right now I am loving all the cool things you can do with a tin can, yes you heard right, a plain old tin can! You can use them as a vase to create a floral centrepiece for the table, it creates a really rustic look – without spending a cent. You can wrap the tins in contact paper, glue on fabric, dip them in paint – or keep them as they are – either way, it’s worth giving a go!

You can use a pasta sauce can, a soup can or even a baked beans can. If you’d like to find a vintage-style can, have a sticky-beak on Ebay or Etsy, they have loads for sale  – all at bargain prices.

Washi tape or contact paper is a great way to add some colour – you can get this from your local craft store on online at; craftonline.com.au, notemaker.com.au, craftqueen.com.au.

If you’d like to give paint a go for your pop of colour,  Bunnings have Craft Paint in hot pink and a fabulous neon green for just $2.99 (bunnings.com.au)

I hope these images make you stop and think before throwing your next empty tin into the recycling!

Love, B xx
