There’s lots of other things I’ve come to learn ‘for sure’ during the past month of living in
prison a bubble of isolation with just my husband and children, and here are a few…
- The only thing more irritating than live footy on TV is a ‘classic match’ from 1992.
- Bras are torture devices from pre-Corona times. Set those funbags free, ladies. Set. Them. Free.
- Shovelling a bag of crispy potato chips into your pie hole will make you feel approximately 354% better.
Just on that third one, I’ve also learned that kids are reckless, often thoughtless, creatures who are happy to tear open a bag of chips, eat five or six and then put the bag back in the pantry without so much as folding the top over. Within 15 minutes of exposure to the air, that once-crisp bag of golden potato goodness is rendered 100% shithouse because they’ve gone stale as fuck.
So, I’ve found a new trick you can tart up as an isolation ‘challenge’ for your kids that’ll ensure those little shits don’t ruin your after-dinner snack party ever again.
Padma Lakshmi, host of Top Chef, recently tweeted this hack for sealing open chip packets (courtesy of TikTok-er shine.on.darlin) – and it’s bloody awesome.
