Keeping your feet planted firmly on the ground when you hit the big time would be a bit of a challenge I reckon, especially when you’re a successful actress living in a world that totally adores you. That level of fame and adoration has some real potential to turn you into a bit of an arsehole, which is what Gwyneth Paltrow recently revealed happened to her after she won the Oscar for Shakespeare in Love. Gwyn credited her late dad with pulling her back down to Earth, saying that her only regret was “that I had to turn 40 to start getting my head out of my ass.”
The same can’t be said for ‘our’ Margot Robbie though. The Aussie actress has remained pretty unaffected (from what we’ve seen and heard) by her huge success; she seems kind and grounded and the opposite of over-the-top Hollywood glam. And you can really see that low-key, relaxed style Margot is known and loved for in the home she shares with her husband, Tom Ackerley.
Despite no doubt having the coin to live a palatial estate, Margs’ home in LA’s Hancock Park is gorgeous but still…. homely. With five bedrooms, five and a half bathrooms, lovely kitchen and stunning floor-to-ceiling windows, it’s a beautiful home, but you’d be forgiven for thinking that a regular person owned it instead of a big time movie star.
Margot and Tom bought the home, which also has a beautiful outdoor pool area and cabana, in 2017 for a Hollywood-modest US$2.73 mil and it’s gorge, especially with that killer navy dining room. Take a look…
Just like Margot, Ada Nicodemou has starred in another Aussie soap fave, Home+Away. She talked to us about her job, her love of food, and co-parenting with her ex-husband in the pod chat below. Subscribe here!
