How did we ever live without this iPhone hack?

No one loves a screenshot more than me. As someone whose memory, thoughts and general brain activity resembles a washing machine on spin cycle 24/7, I really rely on the ol’ screenshot function to save shit I need to remember. That gallery wall I plan on ripping off? Screenshot. Outfit inspo? Screenshot. That meme that’ll make my BFF piss her pants? Screenshot. That. Shit.

They’re sort of like virtual Post-It notes and I dig ’em very much.

Here’s the thing though – screenshotting images is great, but how about when you want to get that entire recipe? Or read that article about the five minute workout that’ll change your life? You can bet your right tit that you’ll need to take a good 5-8 screenshots to get all the info you need and you know what that does? It takes up precious real estate on your phone that none of us can really afford.

While perusing the Net today, I came across a hack that allows you to save an entire article/recipe/whatever to your iPhone in ONE screenshot. That means no more ‘scroll-screenshot-scroll-screenshot’ palava and a MUCH less congested Photos library. You beauty.

Of course, I took this little hack out for a test spin before bringing it to you by taking a full-page screenshot of the article. I read it an hour later and… here we are. My life is changed and yours will be too. Get a load of it in action below –

If you prefer written instructions, here goes:

  1. Screenshot the article you want to save.
  2. Click on the small image of the screenshot that comes up on the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.
  3. Across the top, there’ll be a tab that says ‘Screen’ and next to it, one that says ‘Full Page’. Click ‘Full Page’
  4. Click ‘Done’ in the top left-hand corner.
  5. A tab will appear at the bottom that gives you the option to ‘Save PDF to Files’. Choose that.
  6. Open the ‘Files’ app on your phone and the article will be ready and waiting for you.

This only works on Safari though, so if you’re using Chrome, sorry. Our thoughts are with you at this time.

Monty recently had an incredibly open and intimate chat with our mate Dyllyn, who is a woman of Trans experience and all-round legend. Dyllyn answered ALL the questions – and I mean ALL of them –  and we are much wiser for having listened to her. You will be too. Get the chat into you below, then subscribe to our pod here.
