Bruce Jenner has made his official debut as Caitlyn Jenner on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.
Cailtyln could not be happier with the article and images shot by Annie Leibovitz, saying: “I’m so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can’t wait for you to get to know her/me.”
In a video that accompanies the Vanity Fair article, Caitlyn says, “The last few days in doing this shoot was about my life. And who I am as a person. It’s not about the fanfare, it’s not about people cheering in the stadium. It’s not about going down the street and everybody giving me ‘Thataboy, Bruce!’ Pat on the back, Ok? This about your life. Bruce always had to tell a lie. He was always living that lie. Every day he always had a secret from morning till night. Caitlyn doesn’t have any secrets. Soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I’m free.”
A Twitter account, in the name of Caitlyn Jenner, was started at the same time that the Vanity Fair article was published online. Within minutes the account had more than 150,000 followers. The Kardashain/Jenner clan have already started proudly tweeting and instagramming the cover to show their support.
Khloe Kardshian saying: ‘We were given this life because you were strong enough to live it! I couldn’t be prouder!!! Caitlyn, You are beautiful!!!” Kim Kardashain tweeted: ‘Caitlyn Jenner for Vanity Fair Annie Leibovitz! How beautiful! Be happy, be proud, live life YOUR way!’
The Vanity Fair also reveals that there will be a TV series which will follow the transition from Bruce to Cailtyn – his new life as a transgender woman.
Is there anything more inspiring that being exactly who you are?
