Would you buy perfume for your baby?

Sick of that newborn smell? You know that special, one-of-a-kind, sent-from-angels smell? Nah, didn’t think so. It’s probs the best smell in the entire world. My two year old has lost that newborn smell so now I have to randomly inhale other newborn heads when we’re out and about; it’s a wonder I’m allowed out.

So, as you can imagine, I was a little shocked to hear today that perfume for babies is becoming a real thing. What the actual hell?!

French beauty brand Bonpoint released a scent for bubbas that “evokes freshly cut lawns” with notes of “mandarin, grapefruit and basil.” Just what a newborn always wanted.

It’s a water based scent and totally free from  parabens and chemicals, but even though it’s free of nasties it’s still designed to be sprayed on the babies clothes rather than directly on their skin.

Their perfume “evokes freshly cut lawns” with notes of “mandarin, grapefruit and basil.”

Beauty brands like L’Occitane, Burberry and Dolce and Gabanna have all already released perfumes especially for babies.

My daughter loves to play around with my make up and spray my perfume around the place but there is no way I’d ever buy her her own perfume. She would only insist she spray it herself and we all know where that would end up; yep, in her eyes and probably mine. And as for covering up that heavenly newborn smell, you’ve got to be mad.

Would you ever buy perfume for your baby?
