When I was a kid, my mum would often talk about how I started walking when I was just nine months old. Of course, I thought this made me a fucking hero who’d almost definitely have a place on the Aussie Olympic speed walking team someday. Unfortunately, it turns out the baby who couldn’t wait to walk grew into the woman who couldn’t wait to whip off her bra and smash Dairy Milk on the couch. Soz, Mum and Dad.
While walking at nine months old seemed like a pretty impressive party trick on my part, I was floored to find out that the youngest documented babe to get their walk on was just SIX MONTHS. Amazing.
Turns out though, the six month old baby walker just got trumped by Baby Lula, a 15-week old who has been standing since she was just EIGHT WEEKS OLD. Eight weeks. That’s just two months outside of the tum; where they still sleep (or cry) most of the time. Where you still have to support their tiny necks when you hold them and when their little heads wobble around like little bobble heads.
Lula, who was born on January 31st weighing in at a teeny tiny 2.5kg, has given her parents some major bragging rights because of her apparent superhuman strength to stand, unsupported, on her own. Check this kid out…
Lula’s dad, Tezra Finn-Johnston, attributed his hobby of watching strongman clips on YouTube with Lula on his lap to her incredible physicality, but we reckon she’s just a super strong little lady!
