The book that could change your daughter’s life

There’s a certain age when buying gifts for kids becomes really difficult – and I just hit it. My little girl recently turned nine years old and shopping for her birthday presents was excruciating. There’s something about that ‘tween’ age from around nine to twelve that is just really tricky – they’re not interested in the ‘little kids’ stuff anymore and not quite old enough for the teenage stuff.   Also, I put this weird pressure on myself every year to make sure that one of her gifts is something she can hold on to and maybe share with her own kids one day or at the very least, has some kind of meaning.

Then I found it. The most perfect gift…and I reckon every single kid on the planet should own it.

This book is the actual best.

This book is the actual best.

Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls is a beautiful, hard-cover book that holds 100 stories of extraordinary women who have accomplished incredible things in their lives. From legends of the past such as Cleopatra, Virginia Woolf and Amelia Earhart to current day trailblazers such as Serena and Venus Williams, Hillary Clinton and Malala Yousafzai, each story is a lesson in determination, perseverance and moreover, a celebration of the amazing contributions women have made to the world.

Each story is only one page long and written in a way that young girls and boys will not only understand, but feel engaged in and inspired by. The illustrations are beautiful too, and drawn by 60 female artists from around the world.

A little taste of what you'll get inside this gem.

A little taste of what you’ll get inside this gem.

Together, my kids and I have been reading a few of the stories every night before bed and I’m so stoked that my son loves them just as much as his sister, because our daughters AND sons should know that women and girls are capable of achieving anything they want. And hopefully some time soon, this will be cemented with equal opportunities and EQUAL PAY the world over.

Simply put, EVERY child should own this book. The second volume of Good Night Stories For Rebel Girls is available for pre-order and with stories of a further 100 women like J.K Rowling, Beyonce and Steffi Graf I can’t wait for our copy to arrive.
