Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever attend a cricket game of ANY sort and on top of that, actually enjoy myself.
The only thing I loved about Cricket was that it represented summer, BUT now on top of that I am all about the Big Bash League and I’m not even being slightly sarcastic.
The difference with the Big Bash League and other Cricket matches that seem to go on for 64 years, is that this is the VERY best of cricket smashed up, repackaged and played out in three hours. It is legit a cracker outing for the kids over the school holidays, no matter what age they are, there is something for all the humans in your family…including you.
It can get tricky to think of new tricks and activities to keep the kids entertained over the summer, so this is well worth a try and I reckon you might even have a good time. Besides the fast paced cricket happening on the field, there is also great music that makes it more exciting and adds to a cracker environment, plus there are fireworks. Yeah, fireworks and bloody top notch ones too. There are boundary performances that are fun and entertaining and this is all jam packed into a few hours.
It’s actually a great way for Cricket novices or Cricket poo poo-ers like myself to give it a crack. It’s NOTHING like watching it on the television, the atmosphere is fun and the kids get drawn in straight away. If your kids are anything like mine, they need constant entertainment; this can get pricey and exhausting but the Big Bash League is an affordable outing that the whole fam will enjoy.
I promise I haven’t lost my mind, give it a crack.
