Is this Easter trend taking things a little too far?

When I had a baby I swore I wasn’t going to be one of those mums that made her kid sit on the lap of a big man with a grey beard and bulging tummy, otherwise known as Santa Clause. But of course as my little lady’s first Christmas rolled around I couldn’t get her on Santa’s lap fast enough (she HATED it, I loved it).

Pics with Santa are not the only torture we apparently need to put our kids through because now photos with the Easter Bunny are the latest trend. If you haven’t seen one at your local shopping centre yet, it’s only a matter of time.

Loads of celebs, like the genetically blessed Chrissy Teigen and John Legend shared their happy family snap on the Easter Bunny’s knee on Instagram this week.

But there are some parents out there who think it’s taking Easter to a whole new – and unnecessary level. They say it’s turning Easter into a consumer holiday and that it’s just another thing for parents to spend money on. Um yeah, isn’t it already?

I think it’s kinda cute, I mean I have zero chance of getting my babe to sit on the Easter bunny’s knee, but if your little one is all for it then why not?!

And hang on, do you at least get free chocolate with the pic? I mean, that’s really the deciding factor.

Will you be joining the queue  for a Easter Bunny snap this week?
