Tips on how to conceive your desired baby gender

Having a baby is super exciting and I will preface this with ‘as long as it comes out with ten fingers and ten toes and is perfectly healthy’ bla bla bla. We’ve all heard the drill and of course that is all that matters at the end of the day. But, it’s only natural to have a gender preference for the impending arrival.

This isn’t something we discuss far and wide for obvious reasons. No one wants their kid growing up knowing they do not cut it in the desired body bits department.

I already have two little boys, so if I go for round three I’m keen to experience what having a daughter would be like. I’m super close with my mum (to the point it’s probably a little unhealthy), so my dream would be to have a similar bond with my own daughter. I realise this is ridiculous because there is no guarantee we will even get along. She may grow up and find me a complete pain in the ass or vice versa. Even though I would love a girl at some point, I also find boys scrumptious, so it is a win win with what I end up with. (Ten fingers, ten toes bla bla)

There are a lot of little tricks you can apparently do to help get the baby gender you desire. Whether these actually work or not who really knows? I am of the belief that we have a 50/50 chance of a boy or girl with each pregnancy, but some people swear by these tips. So, if you have you heart set on a specific gender here are some tips to give a crack.*

*Take these tips on board with a massive grain (chunk) of salt.

applesFor a boy: Increase your intake of bananas, apples, almonds and mushrooms

For a girl: Avoid above foods, salt and meat. Increase your oranges, lemons, limes, chocolate and spinach

For a boy: Doggy (Graphic, sorry)

For a girl: Missionary

For a boy: During ovulation

For a girl: 2-4 days before you ovulate

For a boy: female orgasm desired

For a girl: Female orgasm is best avoided (snooze)

Happy baby making lovers, you never know…that extra mushroom eaten or avoided may be the magic trick.
