There have been some weird and wonderful names bestowed on newborn babes over the years. Like, remember that time a couple named their kid abcde? Educational as.
There’s no doubt that the names celebs bestow upon their offspring have some serious potential to influence us plebs and what we call our own bebes – unless, of course, you’re Elon Musk and Grimes. Earlier this month, the couple chose to name their newborn son X Æ A-12; a name that I feel safe to assume NO ONE is pinching. It seems though, no matter how rich you are, you’re not above the baby-naming law. With Cali rules stipulating that only the 26 letters of the alphabet can be legally used in a name (no numbers), Grimes and Musk had to get a little inventive on the old A-12 portion of their kid’s name. So, it’s adios X Æ A-12 and hello X Æ A-Xii. Same pronunciation – whatever that is.
If X Æ A-Xii doesn’t float your boat, then you might like a stickybeak at the Top 10 girls and boys baby names for 2020 so far, courtesy of McCrindle Research – and there ain’t a numeral in sight.
