The decision to name someone you have just met can be completely overwhelming. When deciding on names for my two daughters I wanted something that was stylish and classy, not too common, easy to pronounce, and something that would suit them if they became a rockstar or the Prime Minister of Australia. SO simple. My first daughter I was tossing up between Ivy and Olive but the moment I met her I knew she was Olive. My second daughter we started calling Willa while she was still in the womb and it just kind of stuck. I’m still pleased with their names but my 8-year-old Olive is majorly grumpy at me for naming her after a food she HATES. This parenting gig… I tell you.
The 2017 most searched for baby names were just released by baby name site Nameberry and the most popularly searched for girl’s name in 2017 so far is Maia with Olivia, Amelia, Charlotte and Isla rounding out the top five. For boys, Asher came in at number one followed by Atticus, Jack, Theodore and Oliver.
