There are several ways our bodies can betray us in high-pressure situations. My nervous physical trait, for example, is wee. No joke, when I’m feeling racy or highly anxious, my body somehow produces a never-ending supply of piss that needs to be emptied every two minutes, on the minute. Some people get hiccups, some get the farts, but everybody’s got something.
A super popular one is poo. I know, I know, poo chat isn’t everyone’s cup o’ tea, but the need to evacuate nervous tension through the old poop shoot would definitely be in the top five answers on Family Feud (R.I.P).
So, assuming crapping is your thang, you’d imagine there’d potentially be a nice lower tummy gurgle going on when it’s time to walk down the aisle on your wedding day; an event which is most def a top two Family Feud answer for nerve-inducing situations (I really miss that show). This is why a viral video doing the rounds is laugh out loud hilarity tinged with a bit of cautionary advice.
Here’s the story: Back in 2012, Luke Logan married his bride, Taylor. During a break in the service, they were having a little bit of chit chat about the build-up to their big day. You know, the normal stuff. Luke tells her she looks amazing, she tells him she “took a really big dump” right before it was time to walk down the aisle. Relatable. Only thing is, Taylor had no idea that her husbo was mic’d up and the videographer was recording the entire convo. Check it out…
Having worked as a wedding video editor for the better part of a decade, I can tell you this stuff happens ALL THE TIME. It might not be a poo admission, but the stuff I’ve heard brides say to their grooms in those quiet moments before they’ve realised there’s a mic camouflaged in their beloved’s suit lapel is very excellent entertainment.
Luke and Taylor are still happily married and have a four-year-old daughter. Luke’s hopes for the future include hoping they stay married after Taylor realises the vid has gone viral and has been seen by thousands of people. Good luck, guys!
