Food stylist Mitsuki Moriyasu is set to open a new cafe in Japan, The VegieDeco Cafe, which specialises in these drool-worthy creations that are
disappointingly amazingly just snazzied-up salads. The ‘frosting’ is tofu or cream cheese blended with vegetables and the sponge part is made using natural ingredients like soybean flour.
If the saying that you “eat with your eyes” is true, then Mitsuki is on to a winner. These are a fab idea to make your run-of-the-mill boring salad a bit more exciting, but as far as cake goes, I’ll take mine with flour. And butter. And sugar….
