It might be the weather changing, or my age, or the fact I had a baby eight months ago or it could just be that I’m bored.  But I want a change to my looks. Boob jobs are pricey and don’t tickle, so I’m going to play it a little safer and change…my hair!

The problem is I am a massive hair wimp.

I cut my hair in year 10 and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was a rotten little pixie cut that was all forms of Hi. De. Ous!  It scarred me so much I have barely touched my hair since. I have done a little twist on my mousey brown, the highlight or balayage here and there but anything more than that was never on the cards.

However, the other week in a moment of childfreeness and feeling in a looks slump, I raced to the hairdresser and chopped my long locks off. My hair is now a long bob. Nothing that dramatic at all but I shit myself doing it.

Some days I want to make out with my new lil do and other days I don’t like looking in the mirror because it makes me pine for my lost length. Have I mentioned this is a very shallow piece? There is no moral to this story other than me talking about my hair.

I digress.

Now that the chop is done I am flirting dangerously with a colour change. Wild I know! Not suicide blonde or anything as cray as that but just something a little different. Some people have little to no attachment to their hair, I hold way more importance on it than I should and a change equally excites me and scares the bejesus out of me.

So in times like these, when I need a little inspiration and motivation to take the hair plunge,  I turn to googling celebs hair-do’s. This isnt always the best idea I know because it NEVER ends up looking like theirs. I can’t tell you how many times I have taken a pic of Rachael Bilson to the hairdressers and felt a little cheated that I didn’t walk out looking exactly like her. I mean c’mon, for $250 bucks make me into BILSON.

Below are some gals who can rock totally different colours and chops. I feel ashamed that I am about to say I wish I had Kim K’s courage to do a drastic change like hers. However she does buy her courage, if I had her coin I’d also  have a hairdresser on tap and take more risks too.
