Teachers everywhere share heartbreaking letters from their students

The hashtag #IWishMyTeacherKnew has been trending this month after a teacher in the US, Kyle Schwartz, used the idea and made it into a lesson plan to help her get to know her students better. She invited her students to share their notes anonymously, and some of the confessions were so candid and heartbreaking that they prompted the primary school teacher to share them on social media, and encourage other teachers to undertake the same lesson.

Kyle told ABC News in America ‘as a new teacher, I struggled to understand the reality of my students’ lives and how to best support them. I just felt like there was something I didn’t know about my students.’
There have now been several submissions from teachers everywhere using the hashtag #IWishMyTeacherKnew on social media, and we thought today we would bring you the most candid responses;

As beautifully heartbreaking as these responses were  there were also some lighthearted ones. This one was our fave.
