When I was pregnant, my mum and sister really wanted to throw me a Baby Shower to celebrate the impending arrival of my little person. While the thought was lovely, there was ZERO chance I was going to have one because a) I felt like a humpback whale who’d beached herself on her couch and b) Baby Showers are boring. Awful, I know, but every Baby Shower I’ve been to is like a Kitchen Tea on steroids with lots of stupid games and grown up women wearing dummies around their necks.
There is always an exception to the rule though and yesterday, Rebecca Judd hosted a pretty fabulous shower to celebrate her soon-to-arrive twin boys. While I’d imagine my Shower would have involved some Pattie’s party pies and sausage rolls, Bec’s serious style saw her par-tay reach next-level gorgeousness with fancy catering and some pretty major styling of her stunning Brighton home. PLUS, by Bec’s own admission, there was NO games (hallelujah!) and no shoes. “I actually don’t think I can be stuffed wearing shoes – maybe my havi thongs? You can take the girl out of Perth…” #BabyShowerGoals.
Check out some of the gorgeous snaps…
Here’s Monty and Jamila Rizvi chatting about their mutual hatred of Baby Showers:
Did you have a baby shower? How did you celebrate?
