I am one of those people who wakes up at 2am and worries about things that do not matter AT ALL. Such as the email I forgot to send or whether I should get my son a size 3 or 4 in jeans.
Do you do this too?
As I write this I am feeling bonkers. No shit, I will stress for yonks over ridiculous things that during the day have zilcho importance.
I find it tricky to slow my thoughts and ‘just be’ at the best of times. I try and meditate daily which often turns to weekly, but at least I have the thought to do it right? Surely that counts for something!
When a friend passed on this super duper simple mediation technique that takes literally 30 seconds of your time I was all ears and namaste.
Being my obsessing stressy self I am now all over this practice like a rash. It is a little tool in my belt that I rip out if I’m feeling over whelmed, anxious, worrying about dumb shit or even if I have a few minutes to spare.
It is called the 4,7,8.
Check out the below video and give it a crack. Pop it in your tool belt and hopefully it helps you stress a little less. I think it may just be taking the edge off for me.
Namaste time poor zen seekers, get cracking on your 4,7,8’ing.
What do you do to slow your mind?
