It shouldn’t come as any surprise that Taylor Swift can give a killer speech. After all, she’s a Grammy-winning singer/songwriter. But the speech she gave her best friend’s wedding was enough to make you want to run out, find your best girl and tell her how much you love her.

A couple of weeks ago, Taylor was Maid of Honour for her childhood friend, her BFF, her lifetime girl-squad member, Britany Maack (now LaManna).  Like any strong friendship, Taylor and Britany’s relationship is like an enduring love story – one that has remained iron-clad from their days as tiny schoolgirls, through high school, Taylor’s rise to mega-success, heartbreaks and triumphs, to the moment Britany said “I do” to the love of her life, Ben.

Taylor described Ben and Britany’s innocent beginnings as, “He would chase her and pursue her through middle school and junior high and high school, and their paths would diverge and then come back together. It would be so magically unpredictable, but at the same time, so incredibly fated – just like the best love stories are.”

In possibly the most beautiful words to describe a friendship, Tay went on to say, “My favourite accomplishment of my entire life is that everything in my life has changed, except me and Britany. She was my partner in crime at Brownies sleep-away camp, and she was my date to the Grammys. And little did any of us know that Prince Charming for Britany would be the kid that sat next to me in class, with the bowl hair cut and the Lego lunchbox.”

You can see Britany’s STUNNING wedding in the video below. If you don’t want to watch the entire thing, scroll through to around the 6.30 mark for Taylor’s speech…but you’ll want to watch the whole thing – especially Taylor busting a move on the D-floor.
